  • Don't Fence Me In Mainwaring's men are sent to guard the local POW camp full of Italian soldiers. Walker can't resist pulling one of his scams and has them assembling radio parts on the night shift.

  • When Did You Last See Your Money? When Corporal Jones deposits a parcel of money that has been raised to provide a new canteen for the servicemen, it turns out to be a pound of sausages. The rest of the platoon do everything in their power to jog his memory as to where the cash is.
  • Don't Forget the Diver The platoon have to plant a bomb in a windmill occupied by another platoon. They try an array of disguises to reach the windmill undetected. Jones though, manages to get caught up and carried aloft by the sails - don't panic.
  • Boots, Boots, Boots The men are instructed in the three Fs as Captain Mainwaring becomes obsessed with the healthy state of the platoon's feet.
  • The Lion Has Phones An enemy aircraft crash-lands in the local reservoir, severely testing the efficiency of Captain Mainwaring's communication system - or lack of it.

  • Something Nasty in the Vault The platoon discovers an unexploded bomb in the vault of Captain Mainwaring's bank. Mainwaring and Wilson both end up holding the bomb for hours as the bomb disposal team flounder around for `special tools'.
  • Big Guns The platoon is sent a huge naval gun - but how does it work? What's more, where is it pointing? Captain Mainwaring knows where he wants it - but there's an old bandstand in the way.
  • Branded The bravery of the gentle and well-mannered Private Godfrey is called into question.
  • Man Hunt More shambolic behaviour from Walmington's Home Guard as Captain Mainwaring and his men enlist the help of a recruit with four feet - a tracker dog provided by Walker. Yet all they track down is a birdwatcher.
