  • Seven British solo sailors prepare to compete in the toughest ocean race of all, the Vendée Globe, non-stop, alone around the world in a fleet of 30. Ahead of them are the most dangerous voyage in sailing, hurricane-force winds, waves the size of houses and total isolation. History says that around half of those who start this race will not make the finish; some have lost their lives trying.
  • It is the start day of Vendée Globe, the toughest ocean contest of them all, as 30 skippers, including seven from Great Britain, are about to set sail from France and race non-stop and alone around the world. Saying goodbye is not easy, for the sailors or their loved ones as this is a potentially dangerous race where lives have been lost.
