As Will Ferrell gradually continues his long fall from comedy grace, Ben Stiller is left with the unenviable task of carrying the flag for Saturday Night Live’s latest golden generation. But his new film Greenberg looks a bit different from the goofy self-deprecating gag-fests that he usually participates in. Could this be his Sixth Sense epiphany?
This exclusive TV trailer gives us a taste of what to expect when the film hits cinemas on June 11. Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale) and co-starring Rhys Ifans and Greta Gerwig, Greenberg tells the story of an “intelligent, witty, sharp-tongued lost soul who is at a crossroads in his life”. While he claims to be ‘doing nothing’, his most tangible projects include drafting letters of complaint and building a doghouse for his alsation. We think he needs to get out more.
