Director Woody Allen’s charming tribute to the golden age of Hollywood stars Jesse Eisenberg as Bronx youngster, Bobby Dorfman who – tired of working for his dad in the family jewellery store – decides to move from east coast to west and hit up his one industry connection; a hot shot agent (Steve Carell) who happens to be his uncle.
Dorfman finds that, although landing his first gig in a mailroom proved easy enough, winning the affections of his uncle’s beautiful Secretary; Vonnie (a superb,scene-stealing Kristen Stewart) is a little trickier. Oscar-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro works his usual magic on the stunning backdrop of 1930s Hollywood in this tantalising romance drama.
