Although England is still braving a chilly winter, summer is always on my mind. With warm weather, trips to the beach and sweet treats, you can’t help but be excited for summer blockbusters. From action, to book adaptations, to comedies summer is when all the best films arrive. So here begins a series of posts where I will feature up and coming movies that will hit this next coming sunny season.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron
Marvel is at it again with the Avengers. Back for their second installment, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye are once again on a mission to save the world. This time they’re fighting an evil villain named Ultron, who is not happy with Iron Man’s plan to restart a peacekeeping program.

Pitch Perfect 2
With every great movie, a sequel will be sure to follow. The predicted summer blockbuster, Pitch Perfect 2, is a follow up on the lives of the Barden Bellas. After an accident that leaves them stripped of their national title, they attempt their next big challenge to reclaim their fame: winning the world championships of acapella. It looks to be a hilarious film with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson back at their old antics. Along with fresh faces (as well as old ones) and a promising soundtrack that may live up to the original, Pitch Perfect 2 could be a wonderful sequel.

Jurassic World
The summer sequels continue with Jurassic World starring Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy). The original Jurrasic Park ended with the failure of the dinosaur park and decisions are made to not endorse the park to the public. 22 years later, the theme park is once again open with dinosaurs and humans coming together. However, it isn’t all as peaceful as one might think. Things begin to go wrong when a genetically modified dinosaur is cooked up in one of the park’s labs and begins to terrorise the visitors.
