The long awaited sequel to Danny Boyle’s 1996 classic – Trainspotting – has now reached Sky Cinema. Twenty years after the first film, the original cast and director Boyle have reunited for the sequel.
Set in Edinburgh, we see the lives of these characters and the changes that have taken place over the years. We are also introduced to several new characters.
It was always going to be difficult to live up to the hype of Trainspotting, but T2 contains many echoes of the first film, whilst also being an enjoyable film in itself.
If you haven’t seen the original in a while, then perhaps it’s time to revisit Trainspotting and to check out T2 aswell. You won’t be disappointed!
