Alexander Skarsgard To Become Eco-Terrorist

He’s tall, he’s blond, he makes women go weak at the knees. It’s not really a surprise that True Blood‘s very own Alexander Skarsgard isn’t really desperate for work at the moment having already signed up for Warner’s forthcoming Viking movie The Vanguard. Well, now he’s in talks to play an eco-terrorist in The East.

It’s co-written by Brit Marling who also will take the lead role of a female agent who infiltrates the titular eco-terrorist group. If Skarsgard signs, he’ll be taking the role of the leader of the terrorist group that targets unethical corporations.

Zat Batmanglij will be behind the camera, reteaming with Marling after The Sound Of My Voice with whom he co-wrote and also directed. Shooting begins in Nashville in October.

Skarsgard has projects coming out of his perfectly sculpted ears at the moment – he’ll be in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia due out soon and then Rod Lurie’s remake of Straw Dogs, before playing one of the naval officers in Battleship next year.
