Anthea Turner set to appear on Dancing on Ice

ITV will the offer the presenter a cool £50K deal to make a frosty return to our screens next year in the new series of Dancing on Ice.

Turner, whose troubled marriage has recently been in the news, wowed programme execs last week when she tried out for the ITV1 show at Alexandra Palace, North London.

Producers were so impressed by her cool moves that they are set to dig deep and offer the former Blue Peter host a £50,000 deal to appear in series eight of the show.

Possibly joining Turner on the ice are Olympic gold medal-winning boxer Luke Campbell and Harry Potter actor Oliver Phelps, who played George Weasley, both of whom were also present at the try-outs.

ITV will be hoping to turn around viewing figures for the show, which saw ratings fall in the latest outing. An idea was floated by the broadcaster to bring back bitchy judge Jason Gardiner, but this is now apparently looking unlikely.
