BBC ‘Ratings Flop’ Grandma’s House Gets Second Run

There weren’t many comedies that divided opinion quite like Simon Amstell’s Grandma’s House last year. Apart from PhoneShop of course (the debate for that is still raging on the OTB site..)

Some viewers loved GH, others hated it but no one was shy about letting us know their feelings either way and that debate looks set to kick-off again after the Beeb confirmed that thay have re-commissioned the show for a second series.

“Grandma’s House has a second series. Happy days.” said director Christine Gernon, in a rather short interview with the tabloid and it is hoped that the rest of the cast will rejoin star and co-writer Simon Amstell for filming later in the year.

The series received a couple of awards at the British Comedy Awards, but lost half of the 1.8 million viewers it pulled on its debut by the end of the series. Swings and roundabouts..
