Britainâs Got Talent Loveable Rogues may be about to hit the big time with their own loveable TV series.
The gifted threesome wowed the judges with their ukulele/singing skills and received rapturous applause from a stunned audience on Saturdayâs episode of BGT.
But forget a record deal, a source has now told The Daily Star that their quirky characters and musical talent seriously impressed TV bosses and has put them in line for a show of their own.
The source said: âThey could be TV gold. Their little slot was magic, funny and they proved to be really likeable.
It added: âIt is the kind of thing that would really work on television. They could get involved in a fly-on-the-wall style mockumentary they proved so popular.â?
Apparently their colourful backstage banter with BGT hosts Ant and Dec has already impressed TV bigwigs who are keen to find an outlet for the popular trioâs TV potential.
Itâs certainly clear that David Walliams is already smitten with the cockney band. It was he who suggested that the band starring in their own TV show, when the lads first tried out in London in February. Speaking after their performance Walliams said: âYou made me think of Madness or The Kinks, itâs a great London band. If you brought out an album tomorrow I would buy it.â?
This morning it has been reported that the boysâ backstage banter with Ant and Dec and their funny interactions with each other and the judges on stage, has impressed executives at ITV who are now keen to give them their own platform.
Eddie Brett, Sonny Jay and Té Eugene are, of course, the Loveable Rogues in question and have already been getting on the Twitter bandwagon, tweeting direct to adoring fans. âThanks for the kind words! Weâre stunned!â?, they gushed, after tributes to the bandâs performance poured in. The band already has their own Facebook fan page and are live on This Morning, this morning!
