Reports are emerging about a particularly hairy monster set to make an appearance in the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas Special…
Yes, Bill Bailey will star alongside the time lord and his tardis in a World War Two themed episode of the popular sci-fi TV series.
The straggly-haired comedian should save the BBC a few man-hours in the make-up department when he stars in a special one hour World War Two themed season special of Doctor Who.
Claire Skinner (Outnumbered), Arabella Weir (The Fast Show) and Alexander Armstrong (Armstrong & Miller) will also be making appearances.
Self-confessed âgeekâ? Bailey is a huge Doctor Who fan and is said to be âthrilledâ? to be taking part.
But his passage onto the show was hardly by chance.
Baileyâs fans have been circulating a petition for some time now, gaining thousands of signatures in support of a cameo appearance.
Speaking of the petition, Bailey said: âI kind of think the director is sitting there and then this big petition comes in and the director’s going “Oh, not the petition guy again! Why doesn’t he go through the proper channels?
Why doesn’t get his agent to call me? Not the f——petition again!”
