Yesterday, OTB brought you reports about Brian Belo’s move to sue the producers of TOWIE for stealing his idea for an Essex-based reality show.
The Big Brother 8 winner has now demanded that the ITV2 show, produced by Lime Pictures, be taken off the air until he gets some dollar….*gasp*
The Essex boy is hoping to be awarded £4million if his legal action succeeds.
According to The Sun, sources have claimed that a “killer document” – in the shape of a contract from Lime Pictures – asks him to sign away the rights to TOWIE for £2,500.
He is also understood to have included in the writ evidence of texts where he is asked for help with contact details for the original cast of Totally Essex, which includes Amy Childs and Mark Wright.
Belo is reportedly seeking an injunction stopping ITV from screening TOWIE – which is set to return for a fifth series on April 15 – until he, Sassy Films and Massive TV give their permission for it to air.
And we’re guessing this will not happen until the BB winner has a hefty cheque in his pocket…
