Bridget Jones 3 Finds A New Director?

Bridget and her diary aren’t going anywhere, with the hopeless romantic’s franchise slated to get a third installment coming soon.

It was first rumoured that director Paul Feig would follow up the widely successful Bridesmaids by taking on the project, but he jumped ship in October. Now, it appears that Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty, The Rocker) will be behind the camera, though no deal is in place yet.

The next film will be titled Bridget Jones’s Baby and if Colin Firth’s big mouth is anything to go by, it will see Bridget (Renee Zellweger), who is now officially with Mark Darcy (Firth), having difficulty conceiving until she crosses paths with Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and ends up pregnant. Truly, the role Hugh was born to play.

No other details are out yet and it may be a little while until filming starts, but if Bridget Jones’s Baby nabs Cattaneo, expect things to get going soon.
