Remember those glorious times when you used to wake up at the weekend, lament the fact that you drank half your local pub the night before, and watch a bunch of shallow beautiful twenty-somethings slum about on a tropical island? Well those days are set to return, because C4 are currently auditioning for a brand new series of Shipwrecked.
The reality show – which was last aired in 2009 – is set to return to T4 later this year for a 15 episode run. Producers have explained that 2011’s show will have a ‘back-to-basics’ theme. However those of you hoping to see the participants dumped on some godforsaken Scottish island shouldn’t get too excited, as C4 confirmed that they would be heading to the Cook Islands.
“As one of the pioneering reality shows, Shipwrecked has always proved to be a firm favourite amongst T4 fans,” said head of T4 Neil McCallum. “So it’s great to be bringing the show back this autumn, with its refreshed format and new back-to-basics approach to island life.”
