Cast For Fellowes’s Titanic Drama Revealed

Linus Roache and Geraldine Somerville will board the unsinkable ship in Julian Fellowes’s drama about the Titanic for ITV.

Celia Imrie, Toby Jones and Perdita Weeks have also been confirmed for the series which will produced by Nigel Stafford Clark, who has won three BAFTAs for, amongst others, Bleak House.

With next year marking the 100th anniversary of Titanic’s maiden, and only, Stafford Clark expects interest in the series to be high.

“There is a lasting fascination with the Titanic’s one and only voyage,â€? he said. “And never more so than in the year of its hundredth anniversary.â€?

“We will tell the story in a way that is bold, fresh and gripping, with all the human detail that television does so well. We hope it will be a fitting tribute to the events of that night.â€?

This won’t be the first time that the story of the Titanic has been told, as back in the ‘90s James Cameron directed a version starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet that was quite successful…
