Everyone in tellyland got a bit excited yesterday at the prospect of Celebrity Big Brother actually attracting a genuine bona fide celebrity to come on the show, but we were brought down to earth with a bump when one of Charlie Sheen’s representatives categorically denied that he would be appearing in Channel 5’s reality show last night. “The rumours are totally untrue” Sheen’s spokesman Larry Solters told E! News.
Indeed the former Two and a Half Men star has reportedly signed up to star in a television adaptation of the Jack Nicholson movie Anger Management by acclaimed producer Joe Roth. We think he might have made the right choice..
One person who might be making an appearance however is ex-Baywatch star Pamela Anderson who is apparently keen to come on the show after appearing on Big Brother series in Australia and India. âI am very excited about the show. I will just be myself and have fun with the contestants in the house,” said Pammy rather vaguely at some point over the last year.
According to The Daily Star source recently added: âThe time is right for Pamela and sheâs going to be a TV treat for BB fans.â?
Other celebrities lined up for the show include Kerry Katona, X Factor twins Jedward, The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs and The Saturdays babe Vanessa White. Hustler babe and Playboy model Jessica-Jane Clement and X Factor finalist Wagner are also lined up for the new look series, which will be hosted by Brian Dowling.
Celebrity Big Brother 2011 is set to start on August 17.
