Channel 4 has announced some of their details for programmes over the Christmas period.
Among the comedies include a reunion of The Inbetweeners, with the four main cast coming back for a two-hour long “10th Birthday Party”. The Last Leg will be having Christmas and New Year specials, where they will be presenting “The Dick of the Year Award” currently held by Donald Trump. There are also Christmas specials of The Big Narstie Show and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Jimmy Carr will also bring back The Big Fat Quiz of the Year and The Big Fat Quiz of Everything. Alan Carr meanwhile hosts a special chat show, So This is Christmas.
Elsewhere entertainment-wise there will be Christmas specials of Lego Masters, Celebrity Call Centre, Escape to the Chateau, a celebrity The Crystal Maze, Child Genius vs Celebrities and The Undateables. New programmes include “the world’s first Dragazine show”, namely The Courtney Act Show. Judge Robert Rinder meanwhile will present Good Year, Bad Year, judging whether 2018 has been good or bad.
Factual shows include a “snow special” of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, Mary Portas will be looking at What Britain Bought in 2018, and there is a festive edition of Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds. There will also be a new series of Kirstie & Phil’s Love it or List It, and a brand new show, Flirty Dancing, a dating show hosted by Ashley Banjo where he will try getting people together using dance. Richard Ayoade also returns as Travel Man, spending 96 hours in Jordan with David Baddiel.
As it is Christmas, food programmes will also being airing, with two special editions of The Great British Bake Off, Jamie Oliver will present his Quick and Easy Christmas, and for desert there is a Christmas special of Extreme Cake Makers. Food Unwrapped will also be airing of Christmas, but if all the food is too much, there will also be airing a “Diet Special” on New Year. There will be even more advice on dieting with a new series of How to Lose Weight Well with Xand van Tulleken and Helen Lawal.
