Channing Tatum & Mila Kunis Wanted For Jupiter Ascending

In October last year, there was some news that the Wachowskis were looking to return to some sci-fi with Jupiter Ascending. In January this year, it looked like the lead role might go to Natalie Portman but it seems that she’s passed with Warnes Bros. now putting out offers to Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum.

Even though it’s been six months since we first heard word, there’s still very little information on the film Deadline has it that it’s a original movie that not an adaptation, and should shoot by the end of the year but that’s about it.

Tatum and Kunis are fashionable choices at the moment – Tatum finding box office success with The Vow and 21 Jump Street and Kunis coming off the back of Black Swan and Friends With Benefits, not to mentioned Seth McFarlane’s Ted and Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great And Powerful in the works.  Wonder how minutes it’ll take before Tatum punches someone…smart money’s on “inside half an hour”.

Meanwhile, the Wachowski’s next offering will be the much anticipated Cloud Atlas based on David Mitchell’s novel of the same name (that’s David Mitchell the novellist, not David Mitchell the comedian or David Mitchell the Tory MP).
