Twitter phenomenon Charlie Sheen could be returning to our screens with a brand new sitcom according to reports circulating Hollywood this morning. The ex-Two And A Half Men star is thought to be considering a “big offer” to front a new series which could air in 2012.
According to TMZ, the actor’s representatives are in “deep negotiations”, and a deal could be completed by the weekend. Sources claim that following the wave of public interest that Sheen received following his split with the show and subsequent month long bender, the programme will be written specifically around Sheen and will not need a pilot episode.
There are no other details available on the show, apart from the fact that Chuck Lorre, the Two And A Half Men producer with whom Sheen had a very public falling out earlier this year, will not be involved with the project.
Sheen was believed to be ‘devastated’ when his role in TAAHM was given to Ashton Kutcher. Weren’t we all Charlie..
