After slinging more mud than participants in an Annual Mud Slinging Competition, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh have called a disappointing truce.
Last week Cole called the Irish X Factor judge and former Girls Aloud manager a useless, money-grabbing waste-of-space and Walsh hit back twice in some pretty nasty ways.
âOh yeah, he took the cheques”, she told Marie Clare magazine, adding that he had “zero involvement” in managing the band which was formed as a result of TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals.
Walsh’s most recent retort branded Cole a âfakeâ?.
He added (with relish): âWhat is she peddling this time? Eyelashes or hairspray? Itâs definitely not her music! At least I am still on The X Factor and happy.
âIâm a better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hairpieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything.â?
He had previously said that their friendship was âoverâ?.
But rather than doing the decent thing and continue this entertaining public spat, the pair have removed the gloves and settled things the 2012 way â via Twitter.
Cheryl tweeted: âBout to take this ish to the main stage *calls Louis*â¦
âSpoke to Mr. Walsh.. And he asked me to post his text as he does NOT have twitter.. #chezzafromtheblockcameouttoplay..”
The message from Louis â in its full and nausea-inducing glory â reads:
âHello Cheryl !! Princess of pop and biggest hair in the land!!!!
“Let’s call a truce to all this stuff in the press and things that happened ten years ago !!
“We always had fun on the x factor and I always defended u against the wicked cowell !!
“We used to have great fun and life is too short u and I always said !!
“I’m looking forward to your new music and think u shud come on the xfsctor live show to perform !!!!
“Keep smiling and send me some new product !!!! Louis Walsh still on x factor !!!
“See u soon hello to lily and blue !! P.S are they really your eyelashes!! LOL xxxxx (sic)â?
Cheryl then closed this particularly vicious chapter with: âAnd that’s all folks..â?
