Chloë Moretz has been confirmed in the lead role in the reboot of the Stephen King classic Carrie.
Boys Don’t Cry director Kim Peirce will be directing the new version of the horror which sees an awkward teen girl struggling with puberty while dealing with her religiously fanatical and domineering mother as well as her own emerging telekinetic powers.
Moretz confirmed her acceptance of the role through her twitter: “Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce [sic] and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!”
There’s still no word on who will take the role of her mother but Julianna Moore and Jodie Foster are names that have been tossed about.
More news as we get it.
