Over the last few weeks the rumours about judges on the new series of the US X Factor have been rife, with more names thrown into the ring every week. Today itâs the turn of Tommy Mottola and Cee Lo Green to be touted as potential talent judges on the show.
Mottola, ex-husband of Mariah Carey and former head of Sony Music, has reportedly been seen meeting with Simon Cowell about a job on the show.
A source told the Daily Mail: âSimon and Tommy have known each other for years since their days at Sony and Simon has wanted to get Tommy on board one of his shows for a long time… Tommyâs from the Bronx in New York, heâs tough talking, doesnât pull any punches and will make great TV.
Meanwhile, Cee Lo Green has claimed that Cowell has offered him a job as a judge, but doesnât know whether heâll accept or not. âI had a meeting with Simon the other day and I was offered a job,â? Green said. âI didnât say no but I didnât say yes either.â?
So far the only judge to have been confirmed for the show is Cowell himself, and although reports suggested that Cheryl Cole would also be on the show, that has recently been thrown into doubt. Other names that have been linked with the show include Linsay Lohan, Rihanna, George Michael and Mariah Carey.
Get them all on, we say, and with 8 judges there could always be a tie, and that would result in some fantastic arguments.
