Cowell To Return To Save BGT?

'I leave you lot alone for five minutes..'
With the departure of Michael McIntyre earlier this year and David Hasselhoff confirming his exit yesterday (definitely pushed..), Britain’s Got Talent has some seats to fill on the judge’s panel.

While rumours about who will step in continue to surface, the latest name to supposedly be sitting behind the big red buzzer next year is none other than Simon Cowell. Perhaps you’ve heard of him?

After leaving the show to launch X Factor in America, it makes sense for Cowell to return, given the state of his TV empire. X Factor is losing viewers to Strictly, his new game show Red or Black has gotten a lukewarm reception and if he allows BGT to slip, his title as “King and Supreme Ruler of All Things Realityâ€? may be in jeopardy. As an ITV source said, “Simon is taking no chances with Britain’s Got Talent, and wants to make it the biggest, most successful series to date.â€?

It’s reported that Cowell is also considering adding a fourth judge, an interesting move considering that Kelly Brook lasted for about a week on the panel in 2009.

Among those rumoured to be in Cowell’s sights are EastEnders star Barbara Windsor, comedian David Williams and former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.

Amanda Holden, who is confirmed for the show next year, wants Simon to consider Cheryl Cole for the open spot, telling BANG Showbiz, “I would love Cheryl to join the panel – bring it on, she’s gorgeous!â€?

We won’t argue with you there, Amanda.
