ITV’s Dancing on Ice will return to our screens on Sunday evening and the all-important line-up has now been revealed!
And what a line-up it is.
Sugababes singer Heidi Range, ‘actress’ Jennifer Ellison and fitness guru Rosemary Conley will be doing it for the ladies and are OTB’s top tips for skating success.
The ‘Oddest Contestant’ award goes to former child star Corey Feldman, whose role as a bespectacled teen in The Goonies is not expected to help his technique much.
The seventh series of the popular ITV competition also includes soap stars by the shed load. Jorgie Porter of Hollyoaks fame will join Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden, Coronation Street’s Andy Whyment and EastEnders favourite, Laila Morse.
Intensely annoying children’s TV duo Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes will also do battle on the ice, along with ex-Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere.
Britain’s top alpine ski racer Chemmy Alcott and freerunning founder Sébastien Foucan will also be making a somewhat unexpected rink appearance. And finally, right from the bottom of the barrel, we find ’90s singer Chesney Hawkes and Dallas actress Charlene Tilton donning their skates.
Following the departure of bad-mannered Jason Gardiner and pregnant Emma Bunton, Louie Spence and champion figure skater Katarina Witt join Robin Cousins will take their seats on the judging panel while Karen Barber continues in her role as head coach.
Christine Bleakley will step into the lovely Holly Willoughby’s satin shoes after the buxom hostess decided to leave the show after five years in the job. Willoughby fans will be releived to hear that she will be presenting The Voice over on BBC 1 later this year.
Dancing on Ice 2012 launches Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV1.
