Dancing On Ice: Rosemary Conley Out, Jennifer Ellison Injured

Unpleasant: A skate to the skull

The ladies of Dancing On Ice suffered a punishing weekend on the rink with Rosemary Conely eliminated and Jennifer Ellison kicking herself in the head…doh!

Fitness freak Conley was voted out by the judges after the public placed her firmly in the bottom two. Her Stand By You performance was not enough to save her as she went head to head with Chemmy Alcott.

Upon hearing the news, Conley praised professional partner Mark Hanretty, saying: “This man is my new best friend, thank you for being the best nicest man God could put on this earth.

“A massive thank you to Chris [Dean] and Jane [Torvil]. They are such an inspiration. I don’t think people at home realise how much they do. They are legends.â€?

But as the oldest woman ever to have taken part in the show received her marching orders, one of the youngest was busy booting herself in the head.
Blonde babe and former Brookside star, Jennifer Ellison was left shocked following the injury which occurred as she performed the dangerously named “scorpion kickâ€? and appeared emotional in footage which showed her receiving medical treatment for the wound.

Ellison’s skating partner Daniel Whiston described her as a “trouper” and said the accident occurred as she attempted a kick.
“At the end of the routine Jen does a scorpion kick.

“She threw her leg really high and the heel of her skate has gone into the back of her head.”

He added: “Her whole hair was just red because obviously the heart’s pumping and a lot of blood’s come out.”

“Everyone cares about her very much, including me, so she will be okay,” he said.

Ellison was off-screen receiving treatment as it was announced she had scored 19 out of 30 for her routine in the Valentine’s Day-themed show.

Next week audiences will see two celebs leave the show and the judges will be on the lookout for technical perfection as the star prepare to perform solo.
