Despite her devastation at the media mogulâs decision to âgo publicâ? with the details of their illicit affair, Ms Minogue is reportedly back in talks for another series of The X Factor.
According to reports by The Mirror, Dannii is desperate to make a return to the panel and began negotiations with Cowell before the end of her relationship with Kris Smith and affair-gate.
An insider told The Sun: “Simon has always been a fan of Dannii’s – and she is keen for a return to Britain after the end of her relationship with Kris.
“Re-joining The X Factor would be ideal. Producers are really keen to make it happen – and Dannii’s team feel it would be the perfect move.”
We already know that Rowland will not be making a return to the show, with insiders citing a lack of audience-connection and homesickness as reasons for her departure after just one series. But with Gary Barlow as the sole panel survivor thus far, speculation over who will take the swivel chairs – oops, wrong show – static chairs alongside him is reaching a climax.
The 40-year-old star is already a judge on the Australian version of the show and mentored winners Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle to success back in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
Speaking earlier this month, the Put The Needle On It singer said it was “up to Simon Cowell” whether or not she returned to the show.
“I haven’t ruled out coming back to the UK for anything and I think all of the show’s fans know that I love it,” she said. “I would love to do it again but it’s all in the hands of Mr Cowell.”
