Denzel Washington is hoping to star as the corresponding gun to Mark Wahlberg’s piece in upcoming action flick, 2 Guns.
Based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant published by BOOM! Studios, 2 Guns features a script by Blake Masters (Law and Order). The film follows the story of an undercover intelligence officer and DEA agent who wind up investigating each other as both steal mob money. *Spoiler alert* is likely to involve around 200, as opposed to two, guns.
Icelandic Baltasar Kormákur, also Mark Wahlberg’s directorial dictator in Contraband, will be steering the 2 Guns ship to success with Universal also throwing its weight behind the project.
But the cost of producing a bullet-ridden action extravaganza is a substantial one these days, and studio directors are on the lookout for a brother-in-arms if 2 Guns is going to get the financial backing it requires.
