EastEnder’s Wallace Wins ‘Best Actress’ At Inside Soap Awards

Eastenders star, Jessie Wallace, has won the best actress award at Inside Soap’s TV awards.

Her award was one of five dished out to the BBC soap.

Wallace, who plays the long-suffering wife of wide-boy Alfie Moon, has had a turbulent time in her personal life recently after she jilted her husband just days before their wedding.

The actress has also been involved in some difficult plot lines which involved a stolen baby and the end of Samantha Janus. Enough said.

Young Maisie Smith, who plays Tiffany Butcher, should also get a mention here after she received an award for best young actress. Her acting skills put Albert Square veteran, Ian Beale, to shame on a regular basis.

Boris Johnson recently attacked the Eastenders big wigs after they backed out of a deal to move the show to the east end after the 2012 games.

BoJo fumed: “This was an opportunity for the BBC to deliver better value for money for hard-pressed licence-fee payersâ€?.

The soap can now stick two fingers up at the mayor by showing off its brand new best soap award, voted for by viewers.
