Emma Willis and Alexander Armstrong are to present Prize Island, a new game show on ITV. Taking place on a tropical island, the broadcaster promises it will be a “visually spectacular, action-filled” affair.
Willis, who is currently presenting Big Brother’s Bit on the Side said “It promises to be a show like no other where contestants win unbelievable prizes, and get to visit one of the most exotic and beautiful locations on the planet.”
Comedian and Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong excitedly commented; “Prize Island is the kind of show every presenter dreams of – inventive, clever, funny, absolutely compelling… oh and set on a tropical island in the middle of the ocean. With Prizes!”
The format will see four couples having thier wits and relationships tested as they compete to find prizes hidden around the island, with the final couple having the chance to find the winning prize of a car containing £50,000.
Expected to air next year, the island based romp may be a hit with fans of Lost, as it appears that the prize of a car filled with money will be a less disappointing end then the finale of ABC’s sci-fi epic.
