Lock up your daughters (and Denise Welsch), Frankie Cocozza is being lined up to appear as The Bachelor on Channel 5âs reality dating show.
The X Factor flop and Celebrity Big Brother lothario will be following in the footsteps of Gavin Henson if a report by New! magazine is to be believed.
Mark Wright of tanned TOWIE fame was said to have been the showâs first choice but he turned the opportunity down â gasp! â to focus on his presenting career.
Cocozza hit the headlines earlier this week when Ofcom branded his swearing on a live X Factor show “unacceptable”, resulting in ITV being forced to apologise for his foul language and their delayed reaction to the the incident.
In a statement, Channel Television, which compiles The X Factor for ITV, said: âHad we appreciated that the comment was audible to viewers, we would have asked [presenter] Dermot OâLeary to make an immediate apology.â?
Having been exposed as a coke-sniffing, binge drinking lady’s man – Cocozza is not likely to make the most dashing of bachelors…but he should provide plenty of entertainment value.
Good luck Mr Desmond, you are going to need it.
