Ever a fan of subtlety and letting the music speak for itself, Lady Gaga arrived for the Grammy Awards yesterday in typical low key fashion. You know, in a giant egg. Carried by her minions. No big deal.
But this wasn’t any old stunt, oh no. You see, Gaga had perfect reason for her eggs-traordinary appearance; she was actually incubating, so who can really blame her?
Earlier in the day, a member from her collaborative, Haus of Gaga, kindly alerted fans (of the non-egg variety), by writing from Gaga’s twitter: “This is Nicola, Haus of Gaga: Gaga is in incubation.”
However, in unforeseen circumstances, the excitement of performing was all too much for Gaga, causing her to ‘hatch’ on stage, during her Born This Way performance. What are the chances?
We’re told the birth was quick and uncomplicated, and both Gaga and egg are doing fine.
In other news, Gaga picked up Best Pop Vocal Album for The Fame Monster, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Short Form Music Video for Bad Romance.
Other performances on the night included Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Muse, Justin Bieber and Arcade Fire.
The awards will be televised in the UK on Wednesday 16th February, ITV2 from 10pm.
