Gillian Taylforth and Gemma Bissix return to Hollyoaks

A hunky new family of five boys is on its way to Hollyoaks and they’re all set to get pulses racing. The family, which will join the show later this year, will be headed up by Mother Sandy Roscoe, played by former EastEnders actress and recent Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Gillian Taylforth.

Gillian, who played Kathy Beale in EastEnders for 15 years, will be mother to five gorgeous guys, who are sure to attract the attention of the girls in the village and cause a whole lot of trouble of their very own.

Gillian comments, “I am really looking forward to joining Hollyoaks which is going from strength to strength under Bryan Kirkwood at the moment. My real family are excited to move up to Liverpool – a fantastic City – and I’m eager to meet my new family, five hunky Hollyoaks sons who I’m sure will all be saints!â€?

Gemma Bissix will also return to C4’s flagship continuing youth drama to play super-bitch Clare Devine. Clare’s most memorable stint saw her slowly poison and ultimately attempt to kill husband Max Cunningham, before being thwarted by his best friend OB and side-kick Little Tom. Clare was then savagely pushed from the balcony of The Loft in a dramatic ‘who dunnit’ plot before returning for revenge and torching the club, with nemesis Warren Fox still inside…

Clare’s latest return will see her come between the manipulative Dr. Browning and Mercedes. But what could she possible do to tear this dangerous couple apart?

Speaking about reprising her villainous role, Gemma said: “I’m really looking forward to re-joining the cast of Hollyoaks. Claire Devine is one of my favourite characters and I can’t wait to get back into the role.

“I’m particularly excited to be working with Bryan Kirkwood again. He first cast me as evil Claire and I hear he is doing amazing things with Hollyoaks at the moment so I’m really looking forward to being a part of it. Bring back the bitch!â€?

Viewers will see Clare take her first steps back into Hollyoaks towards the end of March.
