Glee star, Chris Colfer, is nervous about his âFirst Timeâ? being televised in Thursdayâs episode of the hit musical show.
The 21-year-oldâs character, Kurt Hummel, will lose his virginity to Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) in a TV first for America. The teenage gay sex scene will air on US television tonight.
“It covers a very sensitive topic, and I think the show is infamous for handling sensitive topics with care,” Colfer told Billboard.
“We got a little scared when we first found out, but when we got the script of course it was fine,” he added. “Everything that I thought would scare me and make me cringe was sweet and emotional.
“I think it’s a huge deal that this is the first time something like this has been shown on television, but I think it’s handled so delicately and sweetly that I don’t think it will have quite the shock factor that people are thinking.”
Fans of the show will know that Kurt has endured his fair share of hardships with bullying, his fatherâs illness and more warbling than any sane person could endure. The popping of his cherry promises to be an emotional occasion for one and all.
‘The First Time’ airs today (Tuesday, November 8) at 8pm on Fox in the US and this Thursday (November 10) at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.
