So Team GB have won their first Gold Medal and BAFTA-winning comedy Rev. will be returning for a third series! What an afternoon!
Tom Hollander will be returning as the much-put-upon Reverend Adam Smallbone in the programme which was described as “brilliant” by everyone and âreally rather goodâ? by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Co-creator James Wood will once again be the lead writer on the series, with multi-award winning Peep Show creator Sam Bain returning as script editor and BBC bods were queuing up to praise the show this morning.
âWeâre absolutely delighted to have Rev. back on the channel,” said Controller of BBC Two Janice Hadlow. “Itâs one of the real comedy jewels in BBC Twoâs crown.â?
Filming for the third series will begin in 2013, with the show expected on BBC2 in 2014.
