Hugh Grant, star of Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral and the News Of The World phone-tapping affair, is to lend his voice to a lead character in The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists.
The film, based on the book by Gideon Defoe, is about a hapless crew of unorthodox pirates who meet Charles Darwin after they sink The Beagle.
Grant will voice Pirate Captain, with Salma Hayek opposite him as rival Cutlass Liz, and David Tennant as Charles Darwin.
The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is set for release in 2012.
