Channel 5’s The Bachelor has been dogged by accusations that the whole show is one big sham in recent weeks, with rumours circulating that Spencer is actually dating his MIC co-star Louise Thompson.
Those suspicions proved pretty close to the mark when the show’s star admitted he hasn’t seen the winner since they stopped filming six weeks ago.
When asked what the future held for him and Khloe Evans by ITN today, he said: “It’s hard to tell. Obviously we finished filming about six weeks ago and I haven’t been able to see the winner since then. Very soon, I’ll get to see her.”
“It’s important, I think, to spend time with someone off-camera as well. Have some proper days, go out just the two of you. You know, when you’re not surrounded by cameras and sound men. It’s difficult to develop a proper relationship and be intimate when you are surrounded by people.”
Spencer might be looking forward to seeing her, but the feeling certainly isn’t mutual.
“I don’t want anything to do with Spencer now – the show’s finished and that’s it. I’m single,” said Khloe.
“I’m not interested in having a relationship with him. I’m just going to get on with my life. It was unbelievable to win, it felt amazing. But now we’re back to reality it doesn’t feel great.”
