“I’m Scared Of Cowell” Says The Voice’s Reggie Yates

Plenty more Mr Nice Guy

The Voice maestro, Reggie Yates, has refused to criticise Simon Cowell after he admitted that the media mogul has him trembling in his trainers.

The wise young man has said that there is no way he would want to pee off the “overlordâ€? of TV entertainment.

“I’ve never slammed The X Factor. I just said The Voice is more credible than any other showâ€?, the 28-year-old said.

“I’m not stupid enough to say anything bad about Simon Cowell – I don’t want to p*** him off. He’s like an overlord!â€?

What with all this Cowell pussyfooting, one could be forgiven for thinking that whippersnapper Yates is keen to keep his options open after The Voice finishes its first series run…

Radio 1 Chart Show presenter Reggie made the comments after Cowell relinquished control of Britain’s Got Talent’s Saturday night spot – following three weeks of a ratings thrashing from the BBC giant.

Cowell has now pushed BGT back to 8.30pm to avoid the current 20 minute overlap.
