ITV ‘Sweating’ Over Cowell’s X Factor Future

Simon Cowell has been playing his cards very close to his overly-exposed chest regarding a lot of things of late and bosses at ITV are thought to be filling their pants at the prospect of doing this year’s series of X Factor without the pop pioneer.

Cowell reportedly arrived back in the UK this week to start negotiations with channel chiefs, but rumours are persisting that he still has not decided if he will be appearing in both the US and UK versions.

The Sun has claimed that bosses are in ‘cold sweats’ over his failure to confirm himself or his judges for this winter’s series, especially considering the auditions are due to be filmed in May.

“Simon is cutting it really fine. ITV are desperate for some concrete news,” a source told the paper. “All this dithering is seeing them break out in cold sweats. Simon’s focus is on the US series, which has nothing to do with ITV.”

“They don’t even know if he will be back on the show – at the moment they are thinking he won’t be. He’s back in the UK now and they are hoping to get something from him this week so everyone can sleep at night.”

Wannabe fashion mogul Lily Allen has been widely mooted as a possible judge, but the paper claims that Robbie Williams has ruled himself out due to his busy schedule..
