James Corden has vowed to write more episodes of hit BBC drama-comedy Gavin & Stacey, but refused to put a date on when the show might return.
The comic actor, who has had his hands full following the wild success of West End musical One Man, Two Guvnors.
The show has been relocated to Broadway, with Corden claiming a coveted Tony Award, but on Twitter he explained that he would never forget the show that gave him his big break and hoped to one day sit down with co-writer Ruth Jones again.
“It would be a crime not to (write more episodes), it’s a great show. Writing with Ruth is a gift, I definitely plan on doing some more,” he tweeted, before responding to an avalanche of questions about when the show would be returning..
“Getting loads of messages about a Gavin and Stacey special. I’m sorry to say there are no plans right now I’m afraid, but maybe one day!”
