Sharp-tongued judge of Dancing On Ice, Jason Gardiner has hit out at fans for keeping ‘mediocre’ dancers in the competition.
Not content with insulting the dancers themselves, Gardiner has turned against us, the loyal viewers.
Speaking to a tabloid newspaper, the outspoken judge called Sunday nightâs show âsoul destroyingâ? as the public voted to keep in Denise Welch and Johnson Beharry. This left Vanilla Ice and Laura Hamilton as the skate-off victims, with Vanilla Ice getting the boot.
Gardiner has been quoted as saying; âIt really angers me that people like Denise and Johnson are getting through on sympathy votes or popularity when we’re losing someone who really should not have left.â?
He continued, “If viewers want a lacklustre, mediocre, less-than-average final, they should keep voting for Johnson and Denise.”
Personally, I think they should follow Strictly Come Dancingâs example and throw Ann Widdecombe on the ice. Iâm sure weâd all be sat eagerly by our phones waiting to dial in and put her through to the final just to add to that well of Gardiner fury.
