The perpetually underrated Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right) and Olivia Thirlby (best known for Juno, most recently seen in No Strings Attached) are set to star in an adaptation of Nick Flynn memoir Another Bullshit Night In Suck City.
We can’t really see the title staying the same – Hollywood tend to get rather precious about titles (recent amendments including Cop Out, originally titled A Couple Of Dicks and No Strings Attached, originally titled, erm, Fuck Buddies) – but apparently it’ll try to keep the meat of the book intact telling how Flynn employed as caseworker in a Boston homeless shelter ended up running into his estranged, eccentric father.
Paul Dano is already signed up to play Flynn whilst Robert De Niro will take the father role. It’s unknown what role Moore will play but we’re betting on quirky motherly figure who works at the shelter as Thirlby will already take the love interest spot.
It’s filming now and should be out next year.
