Kick-Ass 2 In The Works

Universal is officially in talks to make Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to  the blood-soaked comic book spectacular by Mark Millar.

Cry Wolf writer-director Jeff Wadlow has been busy writing the script under the watchful eye of Millar and original Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn.  Wadlow will eventually direct as Vaughn will have his hands full with the X-Men: First Class sequel, although he will still remain on board as a producer.

Universal are obviously pleased with the progress as they’re planning to kick off shooting in August.

The tricky thing will be the returning cast  – Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse – who have all been rather busy since the original (especially Moretz who seems to crop up in every other film), and will have to slot shooting into busy schedules.
