Kick-Ass Writer to Pen ‘Miss Peregrine’ Movie?

It has been reported that screenwriter Jane Goldman is in line to adapt the new film version of ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’, originally a spine-chilling kid’s book by Ranson Riggs.

The story is about a group of children that are hidden away and sent to live in an old house. After being told of these tales by his now deceased grandfather, a young man sets off to investigate the mysterious goings-on, and to find the home and the island it stands on.

With screenwriting abilities that are a proven success – having co-written Stardust, Kick-Ass and X-Men First Class, as well as the new adaption of Women in Black starring Daniel Radcliffe – she is sure to bring a bit of magic to the script. Tim Burton is reportedly being asked to direct.

Goldman has enjoyed more success in recent years than her husband, Jonathan Ross. However as a huge movie-fan himself, he must be incredibly proud of his talented and in-demand wife.
