Kiefer Sutherland Touches Upon New TV Role

Famously gravel-voiced hard man, Kiefer Sutherland, has reportedly closed a deal with American bosses at Fox to star in a new pilot, penned by Heroes scribe, Tim Kring.

In keeping with the superhuman edge (but hopefully losing the crap edge..) that Heroes revolved around, Kring’s new pilot Touch, follows a family man after he discovers his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen.

Another name attached to the project is that of TV director, Charles McDougall, who has successful shows such as Desperate Housewives and The Good Wife on his directing CV.

Hopefully Kring can keep a grip on this show and not lose the plot like he did with Heroes, a perfect example of an excellent pilot gradually losing the plot during the rest of the show’s run as it chaotic unravelled with further seasons.

With Sutherland currently starring in the Broadway show That Championship Season, production on the pilot is likely to begin at the end of May or the beginning of June.
