Lacey Turner, aka Stacey Slater, has bagged her first TV role since leaving Albert Square. She is set to star in the second series of Sky Livingâs spooky drama Bedlam. The drama which is returning with an all-new cast, centres around a block of flats which used to be a mental asylum.
It will make a change for the actress, whose last role was set in a Square whose inhabitants could easily have been committed to a mental asylum.
Lacey commented on the part, saying: “I’m really excited about taking part in the second series of Bedlam. It’s a great story with brilliant writing and a fantastic cast. Ellie is a really interesting and conflicted character. I’m looking forward to playing her and seeing where the story takes her.â?
One of the big bosses at Sky also said: “We have huge ambitions for Bedlam. The show is a unique combination of engaging relationship drama and real scares.”
After playing Stacey Slater for six years, Bedlam could be a new path for the young actress. Her character fled the square after confessing to Archie Mitchellâs murder; although in a surprising break with tradition, not in a black taxi!
