Like It Or Not Chiles Will Be Back On Sunday Nights

The viewing public cheered and groaned in equal measure at the news that That Sunday Night Show hosted by Adrian Chiles has been renewed for a second series by ITV.

The show, which takes a humorous look at the week’s news has done well enough in its time slot after Dancing on Ice to earn a second series.

This is bound to come as good news for Chiles, whose Daybreak show with Christine Bleakly has been universally slammed since his move to ITV – mostly because people preferred The One Show more. In fact Chiles has slowly become the television equivalent of Marmite – you either love him or hate him – despite the only difference being his new home at ITV.

The first series of That Sunday Night Show featured appearances from celebrities such as Lord Alan Sugar, Frank Skinner and Shaun Ryder, and ITV will no doubt be hoping to tempt more famous names to join Chiles in the second series.

Elain Bedell, Director of Entertainment at ITV said: “That Sunday Night Show has established itself very quickly as a popular part of the ITV weekend entertainment line-up.â€?
