Britainâs worst âchat showâ has taken a serious decline in viewership, 1.3 million over six months, which has prompted rumours the series may soon be put out of its misery.
Loose Womenâs aging format and pointless âdebatesâ have left the show with half the viewership of Bargain Hunt. This combined with the panelâs extortionate salaries (up to £200,000 per year) and high production costs leaves Loose Women with an uncertain fate.
Earlier today The Sun reported, âEveryone on the show has been warned they need to shake things up to stave off the axe.â? However, ITV has come Loose Womenâs defence, issuing the following statement: âThe average audience for Loose Women so far this year is 1.2 million, which is in line with the performance for [the] same period for the last five years.â?
Earlier this year Coleen Nolan announced she was leaving the show, saying, âDuring my time on the panel I’ve had some of the most hilarious moments and outrageous discussions ever, and I’ve made mates for life â people may be shocked that I decided to leave Loose Women when it is doing so well, winning awards and having great ratings.â? It appears she may have got out at just the right time.
