Mark Skates Out Of Dancing On Ice

Two-headed monster: Can Sam go it alone?
Mark Rhodes has been administered a ski boot to the rear end, after all three Dancing on Ice judges voted him off the show.

Children’s TV presenter and one half of slightly annoying duo, Mark and Sam, performed a robotic routine to The Blues Brothers’ Everybody Needs Somebody and faced former Dallas actress Charlene Tilton in the skate-off.

Speaking to show hosts Philip Schofield and Christine Bleakley, Mark said: “Obviously I’m absolutely gutted, but to be at the bottom in the first week and to be next to the bottom in the second week, it makes sense for me to be in the skate-off.

“Charlene… she skated her second [performance] absolutely brilliantly and I messed up. I’m absolutely fine with it.”

The cheeky chappy seemed to go down well with the panel who praised him for his “spirit and fun attitudeâ€?.

Head judge Robin Cousins ventured that it had, “been fun having [him] around”.

Fun as in fun-ny? We thought so.

The big question now is whether his seemingly surgically attached TV partner in crime, Sam Nixon, will survive the experience without him…
