Micheal Moore Taking Weinsteins To Court

michealmoore-300x210Micheal Moore is taking his former backers Bob and Harvey Weinstein to court over claims he is owed £1.7m in unpaid earnings from his 2004 documentary Farenheit 9/11.

Both parties refused to settle at the weekend, with Moore alleging that the Weinsteins’ employees used “Hollywood” accounting techniques to cheat him out of his earnings.

He told the New York Post: “No settlement. No interest in one. Discovery and depositions will reveal how the accounting is done, once and for all. Harvey and I have a lot of important history together, brothers in arms. I hold no ill will, and for now am just blaming all of this on his accountants and business affairs people.”

The Weinsteins have also backed Micheal Moore’s Sicko (2007) and Capitalism: A Love Story (2009).
