Ah, Miriam Margolyes is a woman after our own hearts… The Harry Potter actress doesn’t suffer takes-themselves-too-seriously Hollywood types and good for her, we say. The actress has revealed her very own unique technique when dealing with such sorts, and it’s all down to a bit of old fashioned silly nudity.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, the 69 year old actress demonstrated that she’s not one to put high-profile stars on a pedestal, admitting to giving Warren Beaty a cheeky flash to cheer him up when they worked together.
She told Norton: “When I was in Reds with Warren Beatty he was so grumpy – so I mooned at him”.
Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese was in for a treat when the pair (no puns please) worked together on Age Of Innocence. Margolyes said: “I didn’t moon Martin Scorsese, I did these” as she pointed to her, um sizeable assets.
“It had been a long day and the crew were tired and listless so I flung off my bra to cheer them up,” she added.
Thankfully, the young cast of Harry Potter were spared of such antics, but the actress did agree to pay a fine to the World Wildlife Fund every time she swore on set.
The programme airs tonight at 10.35pm on BBC One, with Miriam joined on the sofa by Jimmy Carr, Devil Wears Prada star Stanley Tucci and singer-songwriter Bruno Mars.
